Located in northeast Cape Coral, this preserve is mostly pine flatwoods and totals nearly 340 acres in size.
The preserve includes portions of the headwaters of Yellow Fever Creek, a narrow channel that accumulates shallow water during the wet season.
There is 2.5-mile marked trail system at this preserve, which also connects to a 3-acre pond for fishing.
Wildlife sightings are abundant at the preserve. Common sightings include hawks, Florida sandhill crane and the gopher tortoise, a state-listed threatened species.
