Yellow Fever Creek Preserve Project

Location and description of Preserve: 

  • Located in northeast Cape Coral, this preserve is mostly pine flatwoods and totals nearly 340 acres in size.
  • The preserve includes portions of the headwaters of Yellow Fever Creek, a narrow channel that accumulates shallow water during the wet season.
  • There is 2.5-mile marked trail system at this preserve, which also connects to a 3-acre pond for fishing.
  • Wildlife sightings are abundant at the preserve. Common sightings include hawks, Florida sandhill crane and the gopher tortoise, a state-listed threatened species.

  • Plan Processing and Coordinate Sheet Preparation.
  • Construction – Layout: Lay – Out/ As-built for asphalt trail and sidewalk (nails + 2’ o/s stakes + cut and fill numbers).
